019 Isle of Tiree

Isle of Tiree - Inner Hebrides Tiree is the most magical of islands.  I arrived on Tiree last Monday and have enjoyed some great weather, fantastic beaches and wonderful sunsets.  The island is so peaceful and quiet and the machair meadows are full of buttercups and daisies. The ferry trip over on Monday from Oban was flat calm with superb views going through the Sound of Mull.  As you approach Tiree and Coll the islands appear as thin strips of gold and green on the horizon. This really is one of the most beautiful ferry trips you can undertake in the whole of Scotland.   The Isle of Tiree is perhaps my current favourite location in Scotland. I have had some technical difficulties this week with the podcast so sound levels may be variable.  I may have to edit the file when I return home next week. I'm off out to enjoy the Tiree evening sunset. Kevin
