Isle of Islay I'm enjoying a fantastic five days on the island of Islay often referred to as the queen of the Hebrides. Islay has played a major part in the history of Scotland but it also enjoys fantastic beaches, lovely seaside villages and a world wide reputation for malt whiskey. Islay malts are characterised as being smokey full flavoured whiskeys and their reputation across the globe is well deserved. I visit the Lagavullin distillery and some of Islay's best beaches. I'm staying at Port Mor campsite. The other campsite mentioned in the podcast is at Kintra Farm.
